Horex VR6 Roadster motorcycle

Established back in 1920, the German manufacturer Horex built motorcycles known for their Columbus four-stroke engines. That was until 1960, when they were bought by Daimler-Benz who then proceeded to seize motorcycle production. But now the brand is back, getting some premier technology help from the likes of Rolls-Royce, Bosch and VW. Horex will begin production in a few weeks on its VR6 Roadster, a new 2-wheeler powered by a 1218cc triple overhead cam that produces 161 HP. The hefty motorbike — which tips the scales at 250 kg — was styled by industrial designer Peter Naumann, and will only be built to order upon purchase, which means no dead stock. No word yet on pricing, but the Horex VR6 Roadster is scheduled to begin production in a few weeks.
